Haiges Machinery, Inc. was purchased in 1985 by three brothers, William W, Robert and Lee Haiges from their father William R Haiges who then retired. The brothers were 4th generation members in the cleaning industry. Their great grandparents, who operated a dye shop in Chicago in the late eighteen hundreds, were followed by their grandfather, who operated Oak Park Cleaners and Dyers with plants in Oak Park, Elmhurst, and Elgin,IL along with many routes. In the Early sixites, their father entered into the equipment business that today is Haiges Machinery Inc. Today, two children who represent the fifth generation are currently working in the business.
